The Waterloo Metro Quarter project will deliver a high quality Over Station Development (OSD) integrating the metro station with new retail, commercial, community and residential uses including social and affordable housing. The development will provide new areas of public domain, pedestrian connections, greater options for active transport and space for cultural and community facilities.
The Waterloo Metro Quarter project will providing the following:
Commercial – 33,600sqm
Retail – 4,000sqm
Childcare – 1,500sqm
Affordable Housing – 24 apartments
Social Housing – 70 apartments
Student Housing – 435 apartments
Residential Housing – 120 apartments
Paul, as Executive Project Director acting on behalf of the Joint Venture between Mirvac and John Holland, led the initial EOI in August 2018, the main RFP from January 2019 to April 2019 and the contract closing through to December 2019 for both the Station and Over Station (OSD). After contract close Paul led the consortium to allow commencement of the Station works in November 2020 as well as managing the development team in seeking approval for 5 separate DAs for the over station development which commenced construction in Q3, 2023.
