The Building the Education Revolution (BER) was an Australian government program administered by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). This program was designed to provide new and refurbished infrastructure to all eligible Australian schools and was part of the Rudd Governments economic stimulus package between 2007 and 2010.
Jano worked for one of the Building Contractors (Lendlease) who participated in this scheme. Jano was responsible for the tendering, design, and delivery of approximately 80 schools that were part of 4 different packages. These projects took place during the global economic crisis and intense attention was required to continually redevelop the procurement and engagement model to ensure these projects could be delivered.
Jano was acting as Project Manager working on the Building Contractors side, responsible for the design and delivery of the projects.
